Hunters ~ Jumpers ~ Equitation ~ Eventing ~ Dressage In 1969 Rob started his journey with horses and has been around them all of his life. He has worked with horses and clients and has helped many to compete successfully: Ponies, children’s, juniors, adults and intercollegiate riding teams. Rob has shown hunters, jumpers and eventing. This has included teaching/coaching young to mature riders to win, compete successfully and learn with their horses. He has also trained, imported and brokered some of the top show horses in the country. In 1994 he opened Summit Oak Farm and created a high quality lesson program, training facility and sale barn. He designed the farm for both rider and horses in mind; he believes a very important part of the sport to be “safety for both horse and rider”. In developing Summit Oak Farm, Rob states “I wanted to create an environment that is hands on with riders and low stress for horses”. Rob will individualize your riding program to suit your needs and abilities. Rob will make learning fun, he has a great sense of how to make a horse and rider work their best together. The base is Equitation: (form & function). Rob has an uncommon ability to match horse and rider, a rare gift. Rob has it! Importing some to the top competing horses in the country, he knows what it takes and how to find a horse to match your individual need and riding level. Rob has many contacts throughout the United States, European Union and United Kingdom and carefully shops for the best suited horses for varied disciplines. Rob says: “When a horse and rider work together it creates a bond that can’t be matched”.
